The CYAM Mission
We are a group of college students and young adults who aspire to build strong and encouraging friendships.
We seek to learn the Lord's Word, grow in our faith,
and follow His leading in life and in service,
as individuals and together as brothers and sisters
in Christ.
Our primary purpose is to glorify
and enjoy relationship with the Living God.

Our Foundation
All we do in CYAM is based upon four principles of the Body found in Acts 2:42.
Each one makes up one segment of our ministry and practice.
The Fellowship and Teaching
We meet weekly at 11:00 in the Sunday school room over the visitors' class. There are maps available at several points in the church, and any deacon (they all have badges) can help with guiding you to the right place.
We are studying the life of David,, as told in II Samuel. Each week is a stand-alone lesson, so feel free to jump in at any point. Our teacher is Associate Pastor Dan Steere.
There is also a young adult Bible study each Thursday night at the Steere home. Please check your emails for directions. If you are not on the email list, please ask for an information card in the class.
The Breaking of the Bread
We plan events a few times a month to encourage fellowship, and many smaller groups meet or hang out on a regular basis. For example, there is a men's group that meets on Tuesday evenings to "break bread" and share in one another's burdens.
We also strongly encourage participation in the breaking of THE Bread, the Lord's Supper. This celebration takes place on the first Sunday of every month, and is a powerful reminder to the believer that Christ is both Just and Justifier, Redeemer and Friend.
The Prayers
Everything we do is accompanied by prayer, whether beginning a class, or in an accountability setting, or alone with God. Prayer is our channel of communication with God through Christ's work on the cross. To avoid it is to be arrogant; to use it is to be humbled and willing to accept God's direction and correction. To use it often is to grow in knowledge of God and of our Savior.
The Leadership
The servant leadership team is always open to suggestions for events and future studies. Please provide input to any one of these team members: Nathan Close, Jason Coffey, Amy Eaton, Brient Hobbs, Mark Miller, Curtis Owens, John Spalding, Anna Steere or Amy Spooner. We meet monthly to discuss upcoming events and projects, as well as to pray for the class members.
Please check back often!
Soli Deo gloria!
