Covenant Presbyterian Church is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), a denomination that upholds the authority of Scripture, the Lordship of Christ, and the believer’s God-given power and responsibility to serve God by serving one another in His Name.
Sunday Worship Services
Our Morning Worship Service begins at 9:30 a.m. There is no Evening Service at this time. The purpose of these services is to focus on the worship of God and the preaching of His Word. The Lord’s Supper is observed on the first Sunday of the month.
Sunday School classes for all ages meet at 11:00 a.m. A class designed especially for our visitors and prospective members is taught by our senior pastor. The children’s Sunday School curriculum is published by Great Commission Publications.

Each Wednesday at 5:30 p.m., September through May, a family supper is served. Bible study and prayer groups for adults and classes for the children follow the supper at 7:00 p.m. along with Sanctuary Choir practice. During the summer months, our Mission: Chattanooga ministry conducts local mission and service projects.

Attendance at a majority of the Visitors Class sessions is a requirement for church membership. This class is taught during the Sunday School hour by Pastor Pirschel. The Session meets on the third Sunday afternoon of each month with prospective members. If you would like to join, contact the church office.
Each member of Covenant Presbyterian Church is part of a small group which is overseen by an elder. It is each elder’s privilege to minister to and pray for the members of his group. The last Sunday evening of the month is designated for the groups to meet with their elders. Members are assigned to a group.

CPC offers a comprehensive ministry to our young children and their families. Nurseries are provided for the infants and toddlers up to three years of age during each worship service. Sunday School classes for children, preschool through fifth grade, provide training in the truths of God’s Word. During the school year, Covenant Corps for children who are three years old through fifth grade meets on Wednesday evenings. The program emphasizes Bible study, scripture memorization and catechism work.

A small group Bible study meets each Wednesday evening at the church. One Saturday of each month, there is a Men’s Breakfast at the church.

The music ministry at CPC offers a variety of opportunities for involvement. Choirs and various ensembles are available for children as young as age three up through adulthood. An instrumental ensemble as well as two handbell groups comprised of middle school through adults occasionally accompany Sunday worship services. The sanctuary choir meets Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. and is open to anyone high school age and older. In the summer a week-long music camp is presented for elementary-age children.

In an effort to integrate all ages within the life of our church, the youth ministry of CPC is an essential part of our ministry to whole families and singles. Many youth activities and retreats, involving students in sixth through twelfth grade, are led by the students themselves or their families. Special retreats, mission trips and other outings are held during the year for both the middle and high school families.

The WM welcomes women of all ages and all walks of life. Retreats are held for the ladies each year in the spring and fall. A ladies Bible study meets at the church on Thursday mornings. Various small groups for women are available at the church on Wednesday nights. Monthly fellowship groups meet in homes during the day and evening. A group designed especially for young mothers meets bi-monthly at the church. A ladies Sunday school is also available.
