Women’s Ministry

The purpose of the Women’s Ministry is that every woman know Christ personally and be committed to extending the Kingdom in her life, home, church, community, and throughout the world. The women’s ministry welcomes women of all ages and walks of life.

Highlights of Our Women’s Ministry

  • Bible studies and Book studies on Wednesday nights September through May after the church wide fellowship dinner.
  • Bible studies held during the summer months.
  • Annual Spring and Fall Retreats.
  • Annual events include a Ladies Tea held in May and a Christmas Dinner in December.

Fellowship Groups:

  • FALL BIBLE STUDIES FOR 2018
    •      Thursday Mornings Bible study will meet beginning August 23, 2018 from 10:00 am – 11:30  – Sign up by clicking Here This Study will be lead by Bev Mealor and meet in the Preseverers’ Room at Covenant Presbyterian Church. They will be studying Precept Genesis Study chapters 1-11. Books cost $20.00 and payments can be made to Bev (scholarships available for book costs)
      • Nursery and Child care provided up to age 8 years old
    •      Mother’s Encouragement Group will meet September 18th on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month from 10:00 am to 11:30 – Sign up by clicking Here  This time of encouragement and fellowship will be led by Connie Hildebrand and will meet in the Covenant Presbyterian Church Parlor.
      • Nursery and Child care provided up to age 8 years old
    •     First Monday of each Month Bible Study – Sign up by clicking Here This study will meet beginning Monday, September 10th at 7:00 pm at Diane Lazor’s home and will be studying Hebrews by Max Lucado led by Diane Lazor and Babs Leach.

    •   Second Monday of each Month Bible Study – Sign up by clicking Here  This study will meet beginning Monday, September 10th at 7:00 pm at Domekia Gaines home and will be studying God’s Cranky Prophets: Jonah and Habbakuk – A Bible Study on Responding in Faith when you don’t like what God is doing. Sandy Vander Griend will be leading this study.   • KINSHIP GROUPS for FALL 2018
    • SWAP GROUP
      • This group is led by Diana Perrel and meets at 7:00 pm at her home on the following Tuesday evenings this fall: September 25, December 11 (Ornament Swap). Each member brings a recipes and enough servings for everyone in the group

    • COOKING GROUP
      • This group is led by Rebekah Gernhard and Becky Pearce and meets at 5:00 pm the following Saturday evenings this fall: October 20 at Becky Pearce’s home.  Each member is responsible for 1 ingredient or monetary donation.

    • CRAFT GROUP
      • This group is led by Amy Wooten and Diane Lazor and meets at 7:00 pm in the Covenant Presbyterian Church fellowship hall on the following Tuesdays this fall: September 18 and November 20. The cost varies based on the craft done that evening and a supply list (if needed) will be emailed out.

    • HIKING GROUP
      • This group is led by Breezy Atkinson and meets once a month at various locations around Chattanooga. They will gather on the following Saturday mornings this fall: September 22, October 13, November 10 and December 8
